The Religious Coalition Against Discrimination (RCAD) is a statewide interfaith network of clergy and lay religious leaders in Maine whose mission is to educate and publicly advocate for the civil and human rights of all people, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons, within our diverse Maine congregations and communities.

Hopeful Links provides assistance with health, housing, food, and many other community supports. RCAD accepts donations to Hopeful Links, and all donations are tax deductible. As faith leaders, we imagine a beloved faith community that affirms and welcomes LGBT people, and we invite all to join in transforming our congregations and communities towards this end.

To implement this vision, we educate to change hearts and minds; promote LGBT safety, equality. and inclusion; and advocate for social justice in ways that make LGBT concerns visible.
